Other people working in the villages

This is just a few of the people in the village who are involved in the organisation of the Kanyike Project as well as some of the people who are benefiting from everything that's been going on...

Ssempijja is Fr. Kakuba's younger brother and one of the most well respected people in the villages. He works hard farming his own land as well as teaching others in animal husbandry and agriculture.  He has always been one to listen more than he speaks and as such is well liked and trusted by everyone.  

Dan is the HIV / AIDs counsellor for the Community Health Centre which was built and funded by the Kanyike Project. His work with the Youth Group and the Women's Group as well as individuals with HIV / AIDs is invaluable and has directly affected the quality of life of those with the virus and reduced the number of people in the area who are infected.

Gertrude is one of the leading women in the St. Hilda's Women's Group.
