St. Hilda's Womens Club

The Women's Club, established in 1987, is a very powerful group within the project. They engage in income-generating activities. These include agriculture, crafts and drama productions. To help them in these activities loans are given to them by the Kanyike Project. With these loans the Women establish new income-generating activities. In this way the loan can be repaid and then be used to fund further ventures. This ensures growth within the local economy thus helping the community to become self-sustaining.
